TruHeight and Quincy Helsel Unite for 2nd Annual Community Classic in Denver

TruHeight and Quincy Helsel Host the 2nd Annual Community Classic in Denver

The atmosphere is electric in Denver as TruHeight, a leading nutrition company focused on kids and teens, announces its highly anticipated 2nd Annual Quincy's Community Classic. This event, set to take place on August 30, 2026, at George Washington High School, is a free celebration designed not only to engage the community but also to support the youth as they head back to school. It merges sports, fun, and essential resources into a single, impactful event.

Quincy Helsel, a local basketball influencer and creator, spearheads the initiative, embodying the spirit of giving back to the community that raised him. Admission is completely free, welcoming all Denver residents and surrounding communities to participate in what promises to be a memorable day.

A Fun-Filled Day for All

The event features a dual basketball tournament setup: a 1v1 tournament as well as a 3v3 tournament. These competitions are not merely games; they’re designed to draw basketball fans and young athletes together to showcase their talents and foster a sense of camaraderie. Alongside the sporting events, attendees can enjoy a myriad of carnival activities, complete with games, live music from a DJ, and local food vendors. One of the highlights will be free haircuts, ensuring every child walking into the school leaves with not just new supplies but a fresh look as they step into the new school year.

Free Supplies and Valuable Resources

A major focus of the Community Classic is to ease the burden on families during back-to-school season. Approximately 1,000 bags filled with essential school supplies will be distributed at the event, providing invaluable resources for students. Additionally, TruHeight will give away 750 to 1,000 product samples of their vitamins, promoting better nutrition among young athletes. The Hoop Bus, a mobile project dedicated to fostering basketball communities, will also be on-site, distributing basketballs to participants.

The inaugural Community Classic last year was a resounding success, drawing approximately 2,000 attendees and collectively distributing over 600 school bags, 250 basketballs, and 150 free haircuts, alongside significant prizes totaling over $1,000. This strong turnout emphasizes the community’s enthusiasm and the need for such initiatives.

Voices of Inspiration

Quincy Helsel shared his motivation behind the event, saying, “Kids get hyped for a tournament and a carnival. They don’t get hyped for a supply drive. We built something they actually want to show up to, and they walk out with everything they need for the school year.” His passion rings true, as the event is aimed at creating a fun experience for the youth while empowering them with tools for success.

Eden Stelmach, Co-Founder of TruHeight, expressed pride in supporting a community-driven event, stating, “Everything at the Community Classic is free because that is the point.” Similarly, Justin Rapoport, Co-Founder and Co-CEO, emphasized the importance of giving back, expressing a desire to expand such events to other cities while maintaining the ethos of accessibility for families.

Star-Studded Guest Appearances

The 2026 Community Classic is set to feature appearances from popular basketball and social media figures including Khan Asadi, JrJayy, Capri Jones, Warhol, TyIsDatGuy, Grady Ferrick, DTB Lee, and DJ Fadorah, with more guests to be announced leading up to the event.
