Vetter Senior Living Enhances Resident Wellness Through LifeLoop's Innovative Solutions

Enhancing Senior Wellness at Vetter Senior Living

Vetter Senior Living has taken a significant step towards improving the quality of life for its residents by expanding its partnership with LifeLoop, a leading provider of proactive engagement solutions focused on whole-person wellness for senior living communities. With the recent implementation of the Wellness Navigator across all 28 Vetter communities located in Nebraska, Missouri, and Wyoming, they aim to redefine the way social wellness is approached in assisted living environments.

Historically, measuring the impact of life enrichment programs within senior living has been challenging. While the industry has recognized the importance of life enrichment professionals, quantifying their contributions has proven to be elusive. This has often resulted in a lack of standardized measures for evaluating social wellness, contrasting sharply with the rigorous assessments typical of residents’ physical and clinical well-being. With the launch of LifeLoop’s Wellness Navigator, Vetter has established a consistent approach to translating resident engagement data into actionable insights. This aligns perfectly with their strategy to elevate life enrichment as a core aspect of overall resident wellness.

Mark Iverson, the Chief Operating Officer at Vetter Senior Living, emphasizes the transformative nature of this initiative: “Cultivating purpose and connection is central to who we are and the experiences we create for our residents at Vetter Senior Living. LifeLoop's Wellness Navigator enables us to now operationalize that belief across every community.” This comprehensive solution will not only enhance their operational capabilities but is set to significantly benefit both the staff and the residents.

The Wellness Navigator standardizes how Vetter communities measure and enhance social well-being. Key features include elevated visibility into residents at risk of isolation, allowing life enrichment professionals to implement personalized support measures to ward off loneliness before it negatively impacts health. The system utilizes valid measurement frameworks like the Social Engagement Index (SEI) and the UCLA Loneliness Scale, enabling staff to consistently assess engagement trends at both individual and community levels over time.

Courtney Schmitz, Director of Purposeful Living at Vetter Senior Living, remarked, “The potential impact of the Wellness Navigator for our life enrichment teams and residents cannot be overstated. In my 15 years in this field, we have never had an industry-standard framework to quantify how life enrichment positively impacts resident wellness.” This shift toward a data-driven approach allows for a deeper understanding of social wellness, marking a notable progression from simple program planning to comprehensive wellness management.

For over 15 years, Vetter has utilized LifeLoop solutions to enhance resident engagement, community operations, and family connections. The new integration of the Wellness Navigator underscores Vetter's ongoing commitment to fostering community experiences anchored in dignity and purpose for all its residents. Rob Fisher, the CEO of LifeLoop, praised Vetter's innovative approach: “Vetter is demonstrating what it looks like to treat life enrichment as an essential component of resident well-being.” As the senior living landscape continues to evolve, it’s paramount for organizations to have the infrastructure necessary to understand and enhance the social connections of their residents.
