Huawei Cloud Unveils Global Sales Partner Policy for 2026
On January 22, 2026, Huawei Cloud introduced its annual Global Sales Partner Policy at an event in Singapore, themed "Shared Intelligence, Shared Success." This initiative is aimed at fostering collaborative success amid the rapidly evolving landscape of artificial intelligence (AI).
Charles Yang, Huawei's Senior Vice President and President of Huawei Cloud's Global Marketing and Sales Services, emphasized the importance of this policy in building trust and enhancing profitability among partners. This year's approach aims to simplify collaboration and support the development of partners. The overarching goal is to establish a resilient and self-sustaining partner ecosystem.
Fostering Trust and Profitability
Yang pointed out that the era of intelligent technologies presents both challenges and opportunities for Huawei Cloud and its partners. Recognizing the potential of AI, Huawei Cloud is committed to systemic innovation, harnessing unparalleled computing power through its industry-leading CloudMatrix supercomputer. Furthermore, the platform supports a variety of models and applications, which empowers growth within the ecosystem and accelerates partner success.
To enhance partner profitability, the policy introduces five key enhancements, including competitive discounts, project collaboration to secure more contracts, and leveraging the Huawei Cloud brand to attract new clients and expand market presence.
Understanding the significance of clearly defined business boundaries, the partnership strategy is designed to prevent competitive cannibalization over profits. This strategic clarity and commitment will remain in place for the next three years, ensuring steady growth and collaboration.
Simplifying Collaboration
Huawei Cloud is dedicated to streamlining the partnership process by adhering to transparent partnership guidelines and actively combating corruption. The Partner Center is set to be modernized into a fluid workspace, making collaborative processes more efficient and user-friendly, ensuring that all necessary resources are consolidated in one location.
In terms of partner development, Huawei Cloud provides comprehensive support through multi-tiered enhancement programs and practical business incentives. Yang likened the development of cloud technologies and AI to a long-term marathon that is just beginning, stressing that the choice of partners is as crucial as the goals they pursue.
"True partnership is not about short-term gains, but about walking together toward sustainable success in the long run," Yang stated.
Building a Dynamic Ecosystem
Li Shi, President of Huawei Cloud Computing Global Sales, highlighted the significant growth of Huawei Cloud's partner business in 2025, which exceeded 50%. The number of partners continues to grow, with Huawei Cloud collaborating closely with over 40 global distributors and 50 key cloud solution providers outside of China. This extensive ecosystem features more than 4,000 partners worldwide and hundreds of thousands of paying customers.
To reinforce ecosystem stability and the success of partners, Huawei Cloud has redefined customer account classifications and clarified the responsibilities of both Huawei and its partners. The company's support pillars include incentives, benefits, and regulations focused on creating a robust partner framework.
This year, Huawei Cloud will undertake a comprehensive overhaul of its partner incentive programs, which involve enhancing partner voices within the global media matrix, supporting brand image building through over 50 global communication benchmarks, expanding partner benefits, and providing full marketing support.
Moreover, Huawei Cloud aims to enhance partners' capabilities through tailored systems, offering strategic analyses and sales practices suited to varied roles. Executives will gain insights from industry trends, digital transformation, and AI strategies offered by Huawei Cloud. Critical teams will participate in training sessions focusing on business operations, industry knowledge, and growth strategies, while specialists in business development, solution architecture, and client relations will undergo practical training sessions, including sales exercises and technical workshops.
Dale Chen, Director of Huawei Cloud's Partner Development in the Asia-Pacific region, noted that Huawei Cloud has become the fastest-growing major public cloud provider in the area, preferred for enterprise digital transformation. Over the last five years, Huawei Cloud has seen a compound annual growth rate exceeding 40%, with more than half of its revenue generated through partner collaboration.
Priorities for Huawei Cloud and its partners in the Asia-Pacific include migrating essential financial systems to the cloud, aiding operators in AI transformation, and using AI to enhance operational efficiency and the quality of public services for government and internet clients. The AI Token Service has commenced operation in Hong Kong, offering several open-source models ready for immediate implementation.
Through its Platform + Ecosystem strategy, Huawei Cloud collaborates with partners in the Asia-Pacific to create new value across various industries. At the event, partners from Thailand, Singapore, Argentina, and Turkey shared their experiences regarding global market expansion and collaborative development.
By focusing on collective advancements, Huawei Cloud's policies aim to empower its partners in reaching their full potential and ensure mutual benefit in the evolving technological landscape.
