FORTHING’s TK Series Launch at the Paris Motor Show 2026
On October 12, 2026, the Paris Motor Show opened its doors, welcoming auto enthusiasts and industry professionals alike. Among the standout exhibitors was FORTHING, a brand on the rise in the automotive sector. Under the motto "FOR THINGS THAT MATTER," FORTHING unveiled its new TK series, designed to cater to the diverse needs of modern families.
The TK series includes four models: the TK5 Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV), the TK5 Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV), the TK7 PHEV, and the innovative V9 PHEV Camper Van. These models were showcased at booth D11 in Hall 7 of the Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. This launch aligns with FORTHING's ambitious strategy dubbed the "Riding the Wind Dual-Engine Plan," which focuses on integrating BEV and PHEV technologies into a comprehensive range of SUVs and Multi-Purpose Vehicles (MPVs).
Addressing Family Mobility Needs
During the launch event, Sylar Li, the international product director of FORTHING, emphasized the importance of this new series in addressing the challenges of family mobility globally. The TK family aims to provide innovative solutions that reflect technological advancements, ultimately improving the driving experience for families across the globe.
The TK series is built on the EMA 3.0 global intelligent architecture. This cutting-edge platform encompasses high-voltage hybrid and battery electric vehicles, featuring an 800V architecture that enables faster charging, lower energy consumption, and enhanced reliability in driving. The series employs a series-parallel hybrid transmission (DHT) configuration, which further elevates efficiency and performance.
Highlighting the TK5
Among the new offerings, the TK5 stands out as a versatile urban SUV tailored for the new generation of drivers. Its design combines aesthetics, driving dynamics, intelligence, and autonomy. Sporting 20-inch sporty wheels and streamlined lines, the TK5 presents a stylish and sturdy exterior. Rigorous testing across European roads ensures agility in urban settings and stable performance on highways. Inside, a smart cockpit equipped with advanced driver-assist technology makes it suitable for long-distance travel. Notably, the BEV version of the TK5 can charge from 20% to 80% in just 18 minutes with high-voltage fast charging, while the PHEV variant boasts an impressive electrical range of 210 km and a combined range of up to 1,100 km (WLTC cycle).
Introducing the TK7
Additionally, the TK7 PHEV offers spacious seating configurations ranging from 5 to 8 passengers, perfectly catering to larger families in Europe. Its flexible interior layout allows for generous luggage space for daily commuting and family trips. The Vehicle-to-Load (V2L) technology further adds versatility, enabling users to power everyday appliances during camping adventures. With an electric range of 500 km and a combined range matching that of the TK5, the TK7 is set to enhance the quality of family travel with a quiet and comfortable cabin experience.
The V9 PHEV Camper Van
The V9 PHEV Camper Van marks an exciting addition, expanding the use of MPVs into the realm of outdoor living, reflecting a growing trend for camping in Europe.
Thanks to its clear global strategy and continuous product evolution, FORTHING is not only entering the European market but establishing a firm presence. This strategic movement signifies a pivotal moment for FORTHING, showcasing the transition of the Chinese automotive industry from merely exporting hardware to delivering brand value and a comprehensive mobility philosophy. With the TK series, FORTHING is poised to make a significant impact on the automotive landscape, proving that it is equipped to meet the modern demands of families worldwide.
