KYMCO's Latest Innovations at EICMA 2026: A New Era in Urban Mobility
The EICMA 2026 in Milan, officially opened on November 3 and running until November 8, has served as a grand stage for KYMCO to unveil its newest flagship models. The company showcased the long-awaited production versions of two standout vehicles: the CV-X45 crossover adventure motorcycle and the X-Town S 350 premium urban scooter. With these models, KYMCO reinforces its commitment to advancing urban mobility through innovative design and cutting-edge technology.
The CV-X45: A Crossover Built for Adventure
Chun-Ping Ko, Chairman of KYMCO Group, presented the CV-X45, a standout in the mid-displacement segment, making its global debut in Milan after previously being shown in Taiwan. This crossover adventure motorcycle embodies the fusion of functionality and style, featuring a 427 cc liquid-cooled single-cylinder engine to deliver impressive torque at low and mid-range RPMs, improving its performance on inclines.
Equipped with a PTM transmission system, the CV-X45 minimizes unsprung weight and enhances handling precision, allowing for an agile riding experience. Riders can choose from three selectable driving modes, adapting to various road conditions seamlessly.
The suspension setup includes a 41 mm inverted front fork and a six-point rear anchor suspension, both boasting a generous travel of 150 mm, which enhances comfort and control across diverse terrains. Complementing these features are Dunlop all-terrain tires, ensuring versatility in handling different conditions.
Additional amenities such as an ergonomic design, a 13.5-liter fuel tank, a fully integrated digital color display, cruise control, and ample storage space contribute to both comfort and practicality for long trips. The European-spec model promises aesthetic upgrades, further solidifying KYMCO's position in the global market for crossover motorcycles.
The X-Town S 350: Redefining Urban Travel
Next up is the X-Town S 350, which promises to redefine the urban commuting experience with its premium styling and high-tech features. Built on a new frame with a slightly compact wheelbase of 1,500 mm, the scooter boasts a weight reduction of 3 kg while enhancing the frame rigidity by 15%. This combination results in improved agility and greater stability during rides.
The X-Town S 350 is outfitted with advanced technologies, including LED headlights, a distinctive X-shaped rear light, a 7-inch full-color TFT display, keyless ignition, and an emergency stop signal (ESS) system. Riders will appreciate the scooter's long-stroke suspension that provides a front travel of 100 mm and rear travel of 108 mm for a smooth journey.
In terms of braking capabilities, the scooter features 260 mm front and 240 mm rear disc brakes, complete with ABS and Traction Control System (TCS) for added safety. With additional enhancements such as an adjustable windshield, two fast USB Type-C charging ports, and a spacious 41.9-liter under-seat storage, the X-Town S 350 is designed for practicality as well as comfort, whether for daily commutes or weekend trips.
