Kuradashi Challenge: Join Us in Making a Difference
Kuradashi, a company that operates the social good market Kuradashi, has announced the start of recruitment for its unique social impact internship, the Kuradashi Challenge. Set to take place in March 2026, this program offers university students an exciting opportunity to engage with local communities and contribute to meaningful projects in Ehime and Shimane Prefectures.
The Kuradashi Challenge is part of Kuradashi's commitment to tackle various social issues through sustainable business practices. The company aims to address food waste and support local revitalization efforts by transforming social challenges into value for society, the environment, and the economy. Kuradashi operates the Kuradashi social good market, which sells products that, although still consumable, are typically discarded due to being close to their expiration dates or having damaged packaging. A portion of the proceeds from these sales is allocated to various social contribution activities.
As part of its initiative for social contributions, Kuradashi has established the Kuradashi Fund, which supports local revitalization projects, food bank activities, education, and sustainability research in the food sector. The Kuradashi Challenge is a significant component of this effort, allowing students to engage in hands-on experience while addressing food loss and revitalizing local economies.
