Stand Against Bullying: Join BRP’s Yellow Day 2025
BRP Inc., a leader in the powersports industry, is gearing up for its third annual Yellow Day on February 13, 2025. This initiative, part of the Ride Out Intimidation program, encourages individuals globally to participate by wearing yellow and sharing their support on social media. The event aims to raise awareness about bullying, which continues to plague communities, schools, and workplaces around the world.
The Significance of Yellow Day
Yellow Day is more than just a day to wear a particular color; it's a movement aimed at fostering solidarity and raising consciousness about the detrimental effects of bullying. The event strives to generate engaging conversations about this serious issue, breaking the silence that so often surrounds it. As part of the campaign, BRP urges participants to showcase their commitment by posting photos on platforms like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Instagram, using the hashtag #RideOutIntimidation.
Elise Auvachez-Millot, Vice-President of Public Affairs, Government Relations and CSR at BRP, emphasizes the importance of collective action, stating, “Fighting intimidation is a universal cause that unites us all. Bullying affects one in three children at school and nearly half of professionals in the workplace. Our goal with Yellow Day is to shine a light on this issue and inspire a united front.”
A Commitment to Making a Difference
In addition to raising awareness, BRP is committed to making a tangible impact. For every public social media post shared on Yellow Day, BRP will donate to six anti-bullying organizations worldwide. Last year, the BRP community raised an impressive CAD $100,000, which went directly to support organizations dedicated to combating bullying in various communities.
The lineup of organizations receiving support includes notable entities like the Born This Way Foundation in the US, Ditch the Label in the UK and Mexico, Dare to Care in Canada, and the World Anti-Bullying Forum. These partnerships underscore BRP's determination to contribute to anti-bullying initiatives where they operate.
