Cultivating Career Perspectives Through Hands-On Experience
From September 10 to 12, 2025, Dormy Inn is set to host the 'DOMINISTA CHALLENGE,' a career experience program designed specifically for middle school students from Shinobioka Junior High School in Tokyo's Taito Ward. This innovative initiative aims to provide students with a unique opportunity to explore the world of hospitality and gain insights into the various aspects of the industry.
What is the DOMINISTA CHALLENGE?
Since its inception in 2019, the DOMINISTA CHALLENGE has been implemented across various hotels nationwide, targeting junior high and high school students. This program offers a hands-on approach, allowing participants to engage in front desk operations, cleaning, bed-making, and more. Through these experiences, students learn about the behind-the-scenes efforts of working professionals while also understanding the significance of serving visitors in their own communities. The program emphasizes the importance of being helpful and collaborative in the workplace, ultimately fostering a sense of career awareness and attachment to their regions.
In a globalized world where youth encounter diverse cultures daily, this career experience serves as a living lesson in multicultural coexistence. The program has been well-received, with over 60 schools participating nationwide, including 12 from the Tokyo metropolitan area, further integrating career education into the students' learning journey.
