Tokyo University of Science Launches Deep Tech Entrepreneur Course



The Tokyo University of Science has announced the launch of its innovative program, the Deep Tech Entrepreneur Creation Course, in collaboration with Mirai Sozo Investments, set to commence in August 2025. This initiative aims to produce a new generation of entrepreneurs who are poised to take on challenges in the deep tech sector.

Background of the Program


Mirai Sozo Investments addresses a pressing issue faced by research-oriented startups: the lack of talent capable of effectively managing businesses and commercializing cutting-edge technologies. By implementing a hands-on approach to business development, they aim to identify and nurture the next wave of innovative leaders in deep tech. Their partnerships with economic organizations have also provided a strong foundation for this course, as seen in their previous collaborations with the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry and NEDO.

In its inaugural year (2024), the course saw exceeded enrollment, reflecting the great demand and enthusiasm among aspiring deep tech entrepreneurs. With a wealthy ecosystem surrounding Mirai Sozo and the Tokyo University of Science, this course will strive to equip participants with the knowledge and resources required to launch and grow successful startups in this crucial sector.

Course Objectives


The Deep Tech Entrepreneur Creation Course leverages the innovative pedagogical framework of the Tokyo University of Science and the venture capital expertise of Mirai Sozo Investments. The main objective is to prepare future leaders by fostering their entrepreneurial spirit and equipping them with practical skills for thriving in a deep tech environment.

  • - Tuition Fee: Free (Sponsored by Mirai Sozo Investments)
  • - Participants: 20 (Minimum 10 required)
  • - Eligibility: Individuals looking to become future CxOs in deep tech startups (including professionals, educators, and students)

Prospective students must be able to attend all six sessions in person and engage in evaluations and discussions. A collaborative spirit and willingness to learn are highly encouraged.

CUMOT Overview


CUMOT provides a certificate program focusing on Management of Technology (MOT), designed to support working adults through practical learning experiences. With over 1,800 participants thus far, it aims to foster a robust community of future leaders in technology management.
