In a remarkable collaboration to mark this year's International Women's Month, Hard Rock International has partnered with global superstar and humanitarian, Shakira, to launch a groundbreaking initiative geared towards empowering women worldwide. This year-long campaign is set to kick off on Saturday, March 8, in celebration of International Women’s Day. The primary goal of this initiative is to encourage women to share their stories, embrace their true selves, and unite through the universal language of music.
The Campaign’s Objectives
The campaign aims to promote female empowerment and equality, emphasizing the importance of women's voices in today's society. Shakira, who has a long history of advocating for women's rights through her work, expressed her excitement about this collaboration, stating, "I am thrilled to join forces with Hard Rock, an organization with an incredible legacy of supporting women through the power of music. To drive engagement, Hard Rock International plans to organize over 1,000 events featuring female artists throughout the month of March. Additionally, the Hard Rock Heals Foundation® will spearhead fundraising efforts to support women-focused projects, with a portion of the proceeds directed to Shakira's Pies Descalzos Foundation. This nonprofit organization works towards education and social development for girls in vulnerable communities across Colombia. As part of this partnership, Hard Rock will proudly donate $250,000 to the Pies Descalzos Foundation.
Shakira’s Culinary Influence
As a unique addition to this initiative, Shakira will collaborate with Hard Rock Cafes to feature her favorite dishes on menus around the world for a limited time. These include the "Hips Don't Lie" cocktail made with tequila, elderflower liqueur, muddled strawberries, and cucumber, in addition to a Chicken Fattoush salad honoring her Lebanese roots, the Hamburguesa Colombiana, and the Dulce De Leche Hot Fudge Brownie.
