Hellas Verona and Veronafiere Team Up for Vinitaly.USA in Chicago

Hellas Verona Football Club and Veronafiere have joined forces once more, bringing Italian wine excellence to the forefront at Vinitaly.USA, set to take place from October 5–6, 2025, at the iconic Navy Pier in Chicago. This year marks the second edition of this flagship event dedicated to showcasing Italy's renowned wines within the United States.

During the event, Hellas Verona players will sport their pre-match kits, which proudly display the Vinitaly.USA logo, as they take to the field against Juventus at the Bentegodi Stadium. This collaboration follows the successful debut of Vinitaly.USA in 2024 and aims to further promote the rich heritage of Italian winemaking on an international scale.

Organized by Veronafiere - Vinitaly, in collaboration with the Italian Trade Agency and the Italy-America Chamber of Commerce Midwest, Vinitaly.USA is set to feature 250 exhibitors, among them Italy's leading winemakers and prominent regional consortia. Spanning over 10,000 square meters with picturesque views of Lake Michigan, this event is fast becoming a pivotal platform for the promotion of Italian wines, drawing buyers, importers, distributors, and other trade professionals from various sectors across the Americas.

Federico Bricolo, President of Veronafiere, remarked, "This initiative exemplifies how Verona, through its two major institutions—its historic football club and international trade fair—can make a mark on the global stage. With Hellas Verona now under American ownership, our city can project a united message to the U.S. market. Our partnership serves as a testament to how wine and football can act as ambassadors for a vibrant city like Verona, enhancing our international presence."

Echoing this sentiment, Italo Zanzi, Executive President of Hellas Verona, expressed enthusiasm for the collaboration, stating, "We are thrilled to be partnering with Veronafiere again. This initiative not only highlights an event that celebrates the finest Italian offerings but also aligns with our goal to support local enterprises that embody Verona’s rich culture and dynamic industry. We are positioned at the intersection of sport and commerce, contributing to the growth of Verona's international reputation."

The 2025 Vinitaly.USA promises to build on the solid foundation laid by its predecessor, merging the realms of sports and Italian viticulture while promoting cultural exchange. With Veronafiere's extensive history of over 127 years, designed to transform events into opportunities, the stage is set for an exceptional experience in Chicago.

As one of Italy's leading exhibitions, Veronafiere drives innovation and economic growth, showcasing key industries including wine, agriculture, and many others. With a global reach, their commitment to fostering sustainable business practices and value creation remains steadfast.

On the other hand, the wine2wine Business Forum has positioned itself as a crucial reference point for wine industry professionals, facilitating connections and knowledge sharing aimed at enhancing wine business operations globally. Gathering insights from experts every year in Verona, this forum is integral to understanding the evolving landscape of the wine sector.

In summary, the collaboration between Hellas Verona and Veronafiere for Vinitaly.USA not only elevates the profile of Italian wines but also intertwines the cultural narratives of sports and gastronomy. As these two forces come together, they are poised to make a significant impact on how Italian excellence is perceived worldwide, particularly in the thriving marketplace of Chicago.
