Ailytics Clinches $7.4 Million Series A Round
Ailytics, an innovative startup in the vision AI domain, has successfully closed a Series A investment round, securing $7.4 million. The funding was spearheaded by Tin Men Capital, with contributions from various sources, including SEEDS from SG Growth Capital, Japan’s leading cloud camera provider Safie, and a major Japanese construction firm, alongside existing investors and family offices. This new investment follows a previous pre-Series A funding of $2.7 million also led by Tin Men Capital, completed in April 2024.
Scaling Operations Globally
Since its inception, Ailytics has seen an impressive upward trajectory, escalating from 70 projects across four countries to over 400 deployments in 15 nations. The startup first established its roots in Singapore by implementing its technology in public housing projects and has since diversified its client base to include esteemed organizations such as NatSteel, PaxOcean, DHL, and even large infrastructures like Rome's Leonardo da Vinci International Airport and Singapore’s Changi Airport Terminal 5 construction.
Lenard Tan, the CEO and Co-Founder of Ailytics, highlighted the significance of this funding round, noting its role in reinforcing their teams in the US, Japan, Australia, and Gulf nations where outdoor industrial environments can present unique challenges. "We are aiming to build a global industrial AI company from Singapore," he stated.
Innovative Technology for Heavy Industries
The flagship product of Ailytics, known as Ailyssa, transforms existing industrial CCTV systems into a robust real-time safety and operational layer. This technology allows for enhanced situational awareness and operational efficiency, leveraging three-dimensional spatial understanding derived from a single two-dimensional camera feed.
Ailyssa is adept at operating in challenging conditions, including rain, dust, and poor lighting, which is essential for industries that rely on aging CCTV technology. The introduction of AilyssaX, their latest reasoning engine, enables the system to process and analyze contextual situations on the fly, ensuring that critical multi-step procedures are verified promptly, resulting in timely and meaningful alerts.
Prateek Manocha, the CTO and Co-Founder, remarked, "This funding allows us to develop our specialized reasoning models and manage AI operational costs as demand continues to surge. Our unique value proposition has enabled us to achieve remarkable unit economics, and client retention has remained impressively below 1%."
Strong Investor Confidence
Jeremy Tan, Managing Partner and Co-Founder at Tin Men Capital, expressed confidence in Ailytics’ potential for growth, stating, "We are committed to supporting the team as they scale their solutions globally. Their technology stands out not only for its innovation but also for its strong market viability."
