Ailytics Secures $7.4 Million in Series A Funding
In a strategic development for the growth of artificial intelligence in industrial applications, Ailytics, a Singapore-based vision AI startup, has successfully raised $7.4 million in a Series A funding round led by Tin Men Capital. This investment is anticipated to propel Ailytics' expansion in key markets including the Asia-Pacific region, the United States, and the Gulf countries. Ailytics is redefining how industrial video surveillance systems operate by transforming traditional setups into real-time security and operational intelligence systems.
Expansion into New Markets
Following a previous round of funding where Ailytics raised approximately $2.7 million, the company has experienced substantial growth, expanding its operations from just 70 projects across four countries to over 400 implementations in 15 countries today. The startup initially began its journey with public housing projects (HDB) in Singapore and has since established significant installations at major players like NatSteel, PaxOcean, DHL, and at the Leonardo da Vinci International Airport in Rome. Furthermore, the company is involved in building Terminal 5 at Singapore's Changi Airport, showcasing the scale and ambition of its projects.
Lenard Tan, co-founder and CEO of Ailytics, stated, “This round of funding will empower our local teams in the USA, Japan, Australia, and the Gulf region, as we aim to focus on challenging outdoor industrial environments. We are building a global industrial AI company from Singapore.”
Ailytics' Innovative Solutions
Ailytics offers proprietary technology that extracts three-dimensional spatial information from standard two-dimensional image signals. Notably, it performs well even in adverse conditions such as rain, dust, and poor lighting, which typically affect traditional cameras, providing real-time actionable insights. The latest advancement, AilyssaX, is an AI engine that processes moving contextual scenes and verifies multi-stage processes, leading to more accurate and meaningful alerts for users.
Prateek Manocha, co-founder and CTO, emphasized the significance of the investment by saying, “This funding allows us to develop our domain-specific inference models while keeping AI operating costs low, even amidst growing demand.”
With a remarkable customer retention rate of under 1% and recently achieving profitable unit economics across 15 markets, the company is poised for further growth. Jeremy Tan, co-founder and managing partner of Tin Men Capital, remarked, “We are keen on actively supporting the team in its global expansion efforts.”
