Upcoming Seminar on Business Continuity
On March 3rd and 5th, 2026, the Japan Quality Assurance Organization (JQA) will host an introductory seminar titled "Learning from Disaster Experiences for Business Continuity" in Osaka and Tokyo, respectively. This seminar aims to educate organizations on how to maintain operations during and after natural disasters, given Japan's vulnerability to various disasters such as earthquakes, tsunamis, floods, and more.
Japan is known for its rich natural environment, but this also makes it susceptible to frequent and devastating natural disasters. Understanding how to protect lives as well as how to ensure business continuity after such events is essential for organizations in this region. With the cooperation of businesses that have experienced disasters, JQA has compiled a record of disaster experiences to offer invaluable insights into the realities of damage, employee mental health post-disaster, and the recovery processes that organizations undergo.
The seminar will emphasize simulated experiences based on actual disaster cases, allowing participants to intuitively grasp the impacts of disasters and understand the necessary steps for business continuity. The structure of the seminar has been updated annually since its launch in 2017, incorporating new insights into disaster response strategies. According to feedback from a recent participant survey conducted in July 2025, the seminar achieved a satisfaction rating of 4.71 out of 5, reflecting its effectiveness and relevance.
This seminar is particularly beneficial for those unsure of how to implement business continuity plans or prepare for emergencies. We eagerly anticipate your participation.
