Exciting Launch of ActiMethod Machida School Set for April 2026

The Launch of ActiMethod Machida School

In April 2026, the ActiMethod Machida School will officially open its doors, marking an exciting new chapter in English education for children. This venture by i GO Corporation introduces a breakthrough method that combines typing skills with English learning, making it both engaging and effective. As ActiMethod schools continue to pop up across the nation, the Machida School stands out with its unique approach to teaching.

A Revolutionary Approach to English Education

Since the English curriculum was established in elementary schools over three years ago, there has been a noticeable shift in how English is taught to younger students. Beginning in the 2020 school year, the new English language learning guidelines for elementary schools have set the stage for an increased focus on all four key skills—listening, speaking, reading, and writing. Today, students in the fifth and sixth grades are required to attend English classes twice a week, accumulating a total of 70 hours each year. This curriculum is designed to enhance communication skills and foster a foundational understanding necessary for future education.

The implementation of English as a regular subject has also led to a more complex curriculum structure based on five areas of learning, bridging seamlessly into middle school standards. Consequently, English education has become more intensive, with vocabulary requirements increasing significantly from 1200 words to approximately 1600-1800 words in middle school. Furthermore, English classes in middle schools now aim for entirely English-taught lessons, underlining the importance of fluency and comprehension.

In addition to English, elementary school students can also expect programming to be a compulsory subject, reflecting a broader transformation in the educational environment. With the introduction of new university entrance exams in 2024 that align with the updated guidance, students are gearing up for more significant academic challenges ahead.

Harnessing the Power of Typing and English Learning

ActiMethod takes a unique approach by integrating typing with English education, allowing students to learn extensive vocabulary in a short time. Unlike traditional writing, all assignments in ActiMethod's curriculum are conducted via typing, which helps accelerate learning. As students type out words they hear, they not only memorize spelling but also practice pronunciation in a contextually engaging manner.

Research suggests that once students become comfortable with typing their English assignments, they can achieve speeds 5-10 times faster than writing by hand, thereby enhancing their overall learning efficiency. This method not only enhances vocabulary but also cultivates digital literacy, crucial in today's tech-savvy world.
