Discover Seasonal Delights: Aomori Scallop Soba and Ginger Pork Namban Soba

As winter approaches, JR East Cross Station Foods Company is set to delight residents and travelers with their latest seasonal offerings. Starting January 8, 2026, all 83 stations featuring the beloved "Irori-an Kiraku" and "Irori-an Kiraku Soba" will showcase two new soba dishes that promise to warm your body and soul.

Aomori Scallop Soba

The Aomori Scallop Soba, priced at ¥760 (including tax), is set to impress as part of the "Aomori and Hokkaido Donan MEGURIP" festival. This dish features a crispy tempura made from Aomori scallops, which have become a seasonal favorite among customers. For this revamp, the original ingredients were adjusted by swapping out the old vegetables for sweet onions, enhancing the balance of flavors. Additionally, the dish is adorned with aonori (green seaweed), which adds a delightful ocean aroma, ensuring that each bite is a burst of umami. The Aomori Scallop Soba perfectly encapsulates the essence of coastal Japan, combining the sweetness of scallops and onions with that distinct maritime scent.

Ginger Pork Namban Soba

On the menu for winter is the Ginger Pork Namban Soba, available for just ¥700 (tax included). With a focus on seasonal produce, this soba embodies the rich sweetness of long green onions, expertly harmonized with succulent pork. The gentle yet fragrant essence of ginger plays a pivotal role in this dish, reinforcing its warmth and comfort. Each spoonful of this dish promises a hearty experience, making it an ideal meal during the chilly months. Enjoy a bowl of this delightful creation and let it nourish your body as you navigate the winter season.

Note: Prices may vary at some locations. Customers can take advantage of a ¥20 discount when purchasing with IC transit cards.

Irori-an Kiraku

Irori-an Kiraku stands by the concept of a casual yet welcoming soba shop, aimed at providing a moment of peace amidst the hectic pace of daily life. Launched in April 2008 in Kamata, this soba chain now boasts 83 locations throughout the Tokyo metropolitan area as of January 6, 2026.
