On January 20, 2026, Crayola announced its first-ever group of global ambassadors who will represent the company during the Semaine de la créativité, or Creativity Week, taking place from January 26 to February 1. This program aims to highlight how creativity can enhance learning and foster positive school cultures across the globe.
A total of
31 schools from various countries, including the United States, New Zealand, Canada, Mexico, and the UK, were selected out of over 1,200 applicants. These schools will demonstrate creative learning methods and share valuable insights on integrating creativity into education.
A Celebration of Imagination
Crayola, a brand synonymous with color and creativity, launched this ambassador program for the fifth edition of Creativity Week. This initiative will engage students, educators, and parents worldwide, aiming to raise awareness of the transformative power of creativity in education. The participating schools represent over
127,000 schools from more than
70% of countries registered for this virtual event, which will provide free resources to nurture creativity in children.
The ambassadors will share their unique experiences during Creativity Week, offering practical advice and inspiration for incorporating creative activities into the educational curriculum. Crayola’s collaboration with these schools aims to gather feedback to improve future resources and understand how creativity impacts classrooms and families.
Education as a Cornerstone of Development
Cheri Sterman, Crayola's Senior Director of Education, expressed the importance of creativity, stating, "Creativity is an essential skill for child development and lifelong success." She also praised the ambassadors for exemplifying how creativity can be integrated into teaching across all subjects. The initiative will showcase the students' and educators' leadership during the Creativity Week and beyond.
Participating schools will host daily themed activities aligned with educational standards, incorporating hands-on learning experiences related to reading, writing, STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), and social-emotional learning. Students and educators across
140 countries will have access to inspiring and interactive content from renowned creators, along with daily prizes and resources available in eight languages.
The program will culminate in a live school assembly, allowing children and educators to connect and celebrate creativity together on a global stage. Educators and parents can sign up now for Creativity Week through the official Crayola website at Crayola.com/CreativityWeek.
