Tachikawa's Exceptional Businesses Celebrate Recognition
In February 2025, Tachikawa city’s outstanding shops were honored during the annual award ceremony for the "Shining Individual Stores" initiative. This year marks the 18th installment of a program aimed at elevating local businesses by assessing their charm through various perspectives such as store design, product quality, and customer service. Initiated in the 2008 fiscal year, this program continues to revitalize the community by promoting the top local stores and enhancing regional connectivity.
More than 200 stores were nominated this year, with the selection process involving thorough onsite evaluations carried out by business consultants and experts. The award-winning stores will be actively promoted in city leaflets and on the municipal website, further bolstering their visibility in the community.
