MNTSQ Leads Seminar on Navigating the Future with Generative AI

MNTSQ Leads Seminar on Navigating Generative AI

On October 9, 2025, MNTSQ Inc., represented by CEO Ryuhei Itaya, held a seminar focusing on the theme, "How to Navigate the Challenges of Generative AI," for approximately 80 members of Hitachi's legal department. This seminar took place in a hybrid format, accommodating both in-person and online participation.

Overview of the Seminar

The legal department of Hitachi, which has actively promoted the use of generative AI across the company, reported that over 80% of its staff are currently leveraging AI in their daily operations. However, concerns about the inconsistencies in the accuracy of generative AI, known as hallucinations, and the overall impact of AI on corporate practices persist. The seminar aimed to address these challenges and provide solutions for effectively engaging with generative AI.

In the first half of the session, Ryuhei Itaya elaborated on the philosophical, technical, and practical aspects of dealing with AI hallucinations. He emphasized the importance of human ownership, stating that while AI augments human capabilities, final judgments and responsibilities must remain with people. Practical strategies were discussed, including the implementation of technologies such as RAG (Retrieval-Augmented Generation) and playbooks to mitigate hallucinations within human-centered operational processes.

The latter part of the seminar was dedicated to a Q&A session, where various relevant questions emerged, such as the training of personnel in the AI era and the risks associated with AI utilization. Attendees actively engaged in discussions that reflected their real-world experiences in the corporate setting.

Comments from Hitachi's Legal Department

Yoshihiro Mototani, Director of the CLO Office at Hitachi, remarked on the company’s strategic plan, "Inspire2027," which highlights the pivotal role of AI usage. He acknowledged the significance of AI in improving operational efficiency and enhancing risk management within the legal department. The insight shared by Itaya on how to interact with generative AI and the necessity of human-centered decision-making was particularly valuable, offering essential perspectives for legal professionals.

"Technologies like generative AI are designed to assist in our judgment process, enabling quicker and more precise responses. However, the ultimate decisions and accountability must lie with humans, as AI serves merely as a tool to augment our capabilities," said Mototani. He expressed a commitment to maintaining a human-centered perspective while integrating AI into legal practices, enhancing the overall value of their legal services.
