Nurturing Future Nursery Teachers: The 2025 Kira Kira Experience
In a collaborative effort to cultivate future nursery teachers, Human Star Child Corporation, an educational subsidiary of Human Academy Co., Ltd., is thrilled to announce the 2025 Kira Kira Nursery Teacher Experience program. This initiative will take place from August 1 to August 29, 2025, across 42 authorized nursery schools located in Yokohama, Kawasaki, Saitama, and Tokyo. The program is designed specifically for elementary through high school students, providing them with a unique opportunity to dive into the world of childcare.
Key Highlights of the Kira Kira Experience
- - Purpose: The Kira Kira Experience aims to inspire students to consider careers in childcare by offering them practical work experience.
- - Understanding Professionalism: Participants will gain insights into the meaningful and specialized nature of childcare work, broadening their vocational choices and increasing the pool of future childcare professionals.
- - Community Engagement: By providing free vocational experience to local junior high and high school students, this initiative strengthens connections within the community.
Addressing Childcare Challenges
Despite a noticeable decline in the number of children awaiting placement, the shortage of nursery teachers remains an ongoing challenge in Japan. Human Star Child is committed to addressing this social issue by sharing the value of childcare work and fostering interest among young people in this profession. The Kira Kira experience serves not only to educate the participants about the profession itself but also offers current childcare workers an opportunity to rekindle their dedication, ultimately benefitting the entire sector.
What Is the Kira Kira Nursery Teacher Experience?
The Kira Kira program is a hands-on experience targeting students ranging from fourth grade to those in their second year of high school. Participants will don specially designed aprons that match those of the nursery staff, engaging in various activities such as:
- - Water play and indoor games with nursery children
- - Assisting with changing clothes
- - Reading stories to kids
- - Helping put children down for their afternoon naps
- - Sharing lunch with the kids
Each nursery will limit participation to about two students per day, and the best part? It’s completely free! Additionally, participants will receive a completion certificate and have the chance to take commemorative photos dressed as nursery teachers.
Note: Due to potential allergies, participants should bring their own lunch if required.
