Protecting Your Family: Understanding 93 Days of Care Leave

In the face of unexpected family emergencies, such as falling ill, many of us are faced with difficult choices. Would you choose to resign from your job to care for a loved one, or would you find ways to support them while continuing to work? This dilemma emphasizes the importance of understanding the care leave制度, which allows each eligible family member 93 days of leave, up to three times. Provided you are enrolled in employment insurance for at least a year, you can also receive 67% of your daily wage as a benefit during this time. However, simply being aware of these provisions is not enough; taking proactive steps to communicate with your workplace and understanding how to navigate the system can determine your family's future.

To address these concerns, the Creare Human Resource Development Association will host a free seminar on September 3, 2025, in Tokyo. Under the guidance of Jun Ono, a certified labor consultant with over 400 presentations on labor and harassment training, this event will serve as an invaluable resource for both employees and employers.
