Evaluation and Initiatives
Five Group particularly stood out in three critical areas that contribute to a low stress environment:
1. Meaningfulness in Work
2. Vibrancy
3. Support from Supervisors
1. Enhancing Meaningfulness in Work
To ensure that the company’s philosophy—"Creating a world connected by fun"—is embraced throughout the organization, from executives to part-time employees, Five Group emphasizes thorough orientation sessions and utilizes handbooks. Staff are given opportunities to engage in community service projects which support this mission.
To foster a culture that celebrates recognition and appreciation, the company holds a yearly "Gratitude Project" where employees exchange messages of thanks. In addition, monthly MVP selections and awards are conducted to acknowledge exceptional contributions.
2. Fostering a Vibrant Work Environment
In alignment with their employee doctrine called "5iveways," Five Group encourages all staff to first enjoy their work and then bring joy to others. This principle promotes a positive atmosphere where each team member can thrive.
Beyond job-related interactions, the company facilitates diverse opportunities for informal communication through freely attended events and a recreation budget for team bonding activities. These initiatives aim to strengthen organizational vibrancy by sharing enjoyable moments beyond work responsibilities.
3. Creating Supportive Relationships with Supervisors
Five Group also focuses on creating supportive environments, not just through direct supervisors but also by fostering connections with other managers. Regular meetings with direct supervisors, as well as meetings with lateral managers and interaction at various events, encourage camaraderie across different teams and departments.
