Hino City Celebrates Business Contributions to Community Projects
Hino City has recently recognized the vital contributions made by local businesses towards its community initiatives through the Regional Revitalization Tax System, also known as the corporate version of hometown tax. This innovative approach encourages businesses to contribute to local projects, enhancing societal cohesion and supporting sustainable development.
Starting from April of next year (2025), Hino will officially begin accepting donations from businesses as part of this initiative, having received the necessary governmental approvals. To celebrate their commitment, Hino City organized a special ceremony where certificates of gratitude were awarded to participating businesses that have made significant contributions.
Among the honorees was
Yamaguchi Administrative Scrivener Office, represented by its CEO, Takao Yamaguchi. Based in Kunitachi, Tokyo, this company has dedicated a part of its resources to support the
Hino Digital Library Project. During the award ceremony, Mayor Koji Koga expressed heartfelt thanks for their generous donation, underscoring the importance of such contributions in fostering cultural and educational growth within the community.
Another notable contributor,
Yomube Co., Ltd., was also recognized at the event. Led by CEO Toshitaki Arai, Yomube has made significant investments in enhancing accessibility for individuals with disabilities in libraries. Their recent donations included essential items aimed at improving information accessibility, which will greatly benefit users with special needs. Mayor Koga again took this opportunity to extend his gratitude, reaffirming the city’s commitment to inclusive education and community services.
The donations from both companies will play a crucial role in enhancing various projects in Hino, particularly focusing on deepening inquiry-based learning in schools and creating a more seamless library experience for all residents, including those with disabilities. The city's vision is to ensure that children and individuals with special needs have improved access to educational resources and services, thereby fostering a thriving learning environment.
As part of the ongoing commitment to build a sustainable regional society, Hino City continues to call upon conscientious businesses to join this initiative. The local government believes that collaboration with the private sector is key to creating lasting impacts that resonate within the community. Hino City looks forward to welcoming more partners who are eager to contribute towards community betterment and urban development.
In conclusion, through the Regional Revitalization Tax System, Hino City aspires to cultivate a more engaged and responsive community, encouraging businesses not only to provide financial support but also to participate actively in shaping the city’s future. Organizations interested in making a meaningful difference are invited to become part of Hino’s growth story, helping to create a thriving and inclusive society together.
