Benesse Style Care Group Launches Training for Nursery School Leaders
The Child and Family Agency of Japan has entrusted the Benesse Style Care Group with the responsibility to start the operational phase of the upcoming training program for nursery school directors and head childcare teachers for the fiscal year 2025, often referred to as the "Reiwa 7th Year Nursery School Training Program."
Benesse Style Care operates under the guiding principle of "let each child grow in their own way." With experience gained from managing a network of 69 nurseries and 45 after-school clubs (as of July 1, 2025), the group aims to utilize this expertise in enhancing the quality of care and educational practices for participating attendees. The program is structured to improve daily operations and provide ongoing support to childcare professionals.
Objectives of the Training Program
The training program is based on the new direction of childcare policies, which shifts focus from merely increasing the quantity of childcare (to address child waiting lists) to emphasizing high-quality care that meets local needs and supports families. Improved system sustainability will also be a goal through securing childcare personnel and enhancing operational effectiveness via ICT. As part of this framework, the program aims to develop childcare personnel and ensure adequate quality in care through regional system improvements. Designed for nursery directors and head childcare teachers, the training will provide insights into the latest childcare policy trends and operational challenges that nursery schools are facing.
Target Audience
This training program is primarily aimed at nursery directors, certified childcare center heads, and senior educators from recognized childcare facilities. This includes those designated to these roles in the near future and individuals tasked with overseeing practical training within childcare settings. Please note that the target audience may vary for different training sessions; detailed information can be found on the official website.
