This new position is designed to address the expanding power requirements of data centers, especially in North America and Europe. As the new President of Energy Centers, Rodriguez will spearhead UIG's initiatives to leverage its extensive industry knowledge and deliver state-of-the-art energy systems. Rodriguez brings with him over 20 years of experience in utility-scale power plant development, design, construction, and operations. His most recent role was within Wärtsilä Energy's North American team, where he specialized in large-scale reciprocating engine (RICE) power plant solutions tailored for utilities and data centers. In addition, he has a wealth of experience in developing behind-the-meter generation solutions, focusing on demand response, capacity management, and resiliency strategies for industrial, retail, and data center clients.

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin–Platteville and is a licensed Professional Engineer.
