In a strategic move to bolster its operations in sustainable waste management, Reworld™, a prominent leader in the industry, has officially announced the acquisition of R.E.D. Technologies, LLC, commonly referred to as REDTECH. This acquisition marks a significant enhancement of Reworld’s logistics and operational capabilities across the Northeastern United States. Based in Portland, Connecticut, REDTECH specializes in profiled waste management and field remediation, providing an array of innovative solutions that align perfectly with Reworld's mission to reimagine waste through sustainable practices.

Paul Stauder, the Executive Vice President of Business Development and M&A at Reworld™, expressed enthusiasm about the acquisition. He stated, “By combining REDTECH’s strategic location and proven expertise with existing Reworld service lines, we are strengthening our ability to offer scalable, innovative waste solutions across the Northeastern United States.” This acquisition not only aims to improve service offerings but also reinforces the company's commitment to creating a more sustainable future for communities.

REDTECH operates a high-tech profiled waste transfer station equipped with on-site rail transloading facilities, allowing for a seamless flow of operations. Handling over 300,000 tons of various materials annually—including contaminated soils, asbestos, PCBs, as well as both hazardous and non-hazardous waste—REDTECH's robust infrastructure significantly amplifies Reworld’s capacity in waste logistics. With a fleet comprising 36 railcars and more than 100 vehicles and pieces of equipment, the combined entities are poised to enhance their service efficiency exponentially.

Such strategic moves are expected to further improve Reworld's existing services, including their ReDirect360 initiative aimed at zero waste-to-landfill and ReMove service for waste logistics.
