Seiha Dance Academy Brings Joy to Local Children with Special Dance Lessons

Dance Expands Smiles and Connections

Seiha Dance Academy, based in Fukuoka City, is dedicated to sharing the joy of movement and self-expression through dance with children. Recently, the academy teamed up with the NPO National Children’s Education Support Association to conduct special dance lessons at two children's cafeterias in Kobe and Osaka, focused on fostering community connections.

This initiative benefitted local support organizations: "salt of the earth" in Kobe, which aids educational activities for children, and "PROJETO CONSTRUIR KODOMOSHOKUDOU" in Osaka, which supports children with Brazilian roots. A total of 14 children, ranging from preschoolers to junior high school students, participated in the lessons that turned out to be a warm and cheerful gathering where they could deepen their interactions.

At the start of the lessons, many children were hesitant, expressing feelings of frustration with phrases like "I can't do it." However, as the session progressed, smiles began to spread, culminating in comments like "I want to dance again!" and "I’ll try practicing at home!" This positive feedback demonstrates the ability of dance to uplift spirits and connect hearts.

Seiha Dance Academy aims to continue collaborating with the community to provide opportunities for all children to experience the joy of movement and self-expression.
