National Car Charging Secures Sourcewell Contract to Enhance Public EV Infrastructure Nationwide
National Car Charging Secures Sourcewell Contract for Public Electrification
National Car Charging (NCC), a frontrunner in electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure, has announced its recent success in obtaining a Sourcewell cooperative purchasing contract. This achievement marks a significant milestone in facilitating easier access to electric charging stations for public agencies across the United States.
NCC operates as the nation’s most experienced EV infrastructure provider, known for delivering reliable, high-quality charging solutions. Their award from Sourcewell comes after a rigorous Request for Proposal (RFP) process that evaluated critical factors such as product quality, service capability, financial stability, and experience in the public sector. This competitive selection process is designed to meet local compliance requirements, giving agencies assurance of partnering with a dependable provider.
The new Sourcewell contract simplifies the procurement process for public agencies by eliminating the need for independent RFPs, thereby enabling them to acquire NCC's cutting-edge EV charging solutions swiftly and confidently. This is significant for municipalities looking to enhance their electrification efforts without the usual bureaucratic delays.
NCC's offerings will include both networked and non-networked EV charging solutions from several leading manufacturers in the market, such as ChargePoint, Kempower, G9EV, and FractalEV. These brands are recognized for their state-of-the-art technology in the EV charging landscape. Additionally, NCC will offer a variety of networking software options like ChargePoint, ChargEye, EV Connect, and Monta, as well as maintenance services through ChargerHelp! ensuring optimal lifecycle performance of their charging infrastructure.
The extensive portfolio provided by NCC is tailored to meet the diverse needs of public agencies—ranging from campus parking lots and fleet depots to school bus yards and marine facilities. With the newly awarded Sourcewell contract, agencies can now confidently implement charging infrastructure that aligns with their budgetary constraints and operational requirements, backed by NCC’s long legacy of successful projects.
Jim Burness, CEO of NCC, commented on this partnership, stating, “Our collaboration with Sourcewell exemplifies our commitment to aiding public agencies in transforming their plans into reality.” He emphasized that for over a decade, NCC has established a strong reputation for providing effective charging solutions. Thanks to Sourcewell's significant cooperative framework, even more agencies can now access the industry's top EV charging technologies tailored to their unique goals, delivered with efficiency and fiscal responsibility.
Since its founding in 2011, NCC has completed over 13,000 installations across 48 states, serving more than 1,300 clients—primarily from the public sector. The newly awarded Sourcewell contract will run through 2029, providing agencies immediate access to pre-negotiated, vetted pricing, facilitating a compliant and expedited approach to electrification.
Sourcewell is a government organization that supports over 50,000 entities across the U.S. by offering competitive solicitations and managing contracts on behalf of its members. This reduces the need for independent RFPs, allowing government agencies to procure services more efficiently and cost-effectively.
Through this contract, NCC continues to solidify its position as a leader in the EV charging landscape, ensuring that public agencies have the tools and resources necessary to embrace the shift toward electric transportation rapidly. As Burness concluded, “Infrastructure built to last has been our cornerstone since the beginning, and we are proud to partner with Sourcewell to make these vital technologies accessible for all.”
With this approach, National Car Charging stands poised to influence the future of public transportation and sustainable energy, reinforcing its dedication to enhancing the EV experience across the nation.
