BAIC FOTON plans to invest in conventional fuel, natural gas, battery-electric drives, and plug-in hybrids, leveraging South Africa as a base to expand operations across Southern, Eastern, Northern, and Western Africa.
The conference introduced two new heavy trucks—the GALAXUS R5 and R5C5—and the TUNLAND V PHEV pickup truck, expanding the product offerings in heavy logistics and versatile mobility solutions. With 16 production sites across Africa, BAIC FOTON continues to enhance its manufacturing collaborations, signing six local manufacturing agreements with partners in Tanzania, Kenya, and Zimbabwe.
