BRP's Commitment to Riding Out Intimidation
BRP Inc., a leader in the powersports industry, proudly commemorates the third anniversary of its global community engagement program,
Ride Out Intimidation. Since its inception in 2022, the company has allocated more than
CAD $10 million to philanthropic efforts aimed at creating a safer and more respectful environment for everyone.
Bullying is a pervasive issue worldwide, impacting one in five school-aged children and nearly 40% of working professionals according to various studies. In light of this alarming statistic, BRP decided to take significant action. Elise Auvachez Millot, Vice-President of Public Affairs, Government Relations, and Corporate Sustainability at BRP, emphasized the careful consideration that led to selecting this cause. “After thorough evaluation, we wanted a cause that was globally relevant, aligned with our company values, and where our investment could lead to meaningful change,” she remarked.
Over the past three years, BRP has collaborated with
over 35 organizations across
12 countries, including the
Fondation CHU Sainte-Justine in Canada,
Bully Zero in Australia,
The Polar Academy in the UK,
Dare to Care in Canada, and the
Fundación Nemi A.C. in Mexico. BRP has also worked alongside ambassadors like
Bikers Against Bullies Worldwide, reinforcing the initiative's reach and impact. These collaborative efforts successfully reached
more than 385,000 individuals, guaranteeing that support extends to
973 schools, workplaces, and institutions.
A hallmark of the initiative is
Yellow Day, BRP's annual global awareness event dedicated to combating bullying. Held on February 13, 2025, the third edition brought together
over 3,650 employees,
55 dealers,
37 ambassadors,
33 agencies and suppliers, and representatives from
25 communities, all united in their stand against intimidation by wearing yellow and sharing their support on social media platforms. This collective action reinforces a powerful message: bullying is unacceptable and must be confronted head-on.
Looking forward, the fourth edition of Yellow Day is set to take place on
November 21, 2025, promising to amplify the movement’s momentum further.
