Recent research by Fresh Step, conducted in collaboration with YouGov, reveals that having a cat might enhance one’s dating success. For cat owners, emotional openness is significantly higher; only 8% express reservations about sharing feelings, compared to 16% of non-cat owners. This emotional transparency can create deeper connections, both with pets and potential dates on apps.

Additionally, cat owners enjoy a distinct advantage on dating platforms. Statistically, they are over five times more likely to receive positive attention due to their pet's presence in photos. About 24% of cat owners have indicated that a cat's image would make them more inclined to swipe right, in contrast to just 11% of general users. Such findings suggest that adopting a cat could not only provide a loving companion but strengthen one’s appeal in the dating world.

The campaign's details make it easy to participate: starting February 3, cat lovers can explore adoptable cats via the Bumble app or through bestfriends.org/FreshStep. Fresh Step will also support new cat parents by offering a month of free cat litter with each adoption through February, redeemable at Walmart. Furthermore, during Valentine's Day weekend (February 13-16), they will cover adoption fees up to $10,000 at select locations, spanning cities like Houston, Los Angeles, New York City, and the Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Kanab, Utah.
