Exploring Innovations in Home Energy at Huawei's 7th Global Installer Summit
Huawei's 7th Global Installer Summit: Building a Greener Future
From October 21 to 23, 2026, Huawei hosted its 7th Global Installer Summit in Dongguan, China, uniting over 1,000 partners and installers from 54 countries. The event served as a pivotal platform for discussing strategies, new product innovations, and emerging trends in the green energy sector.
During the summit, Huawei Digital Power showcased its comprehensive strategy designed for installers while unveiling an innovative new product—LUTERRA™ S2. This launch emphasizes Huawei's commitment to low-carbon energy generation, electrifying mobility, and developing advanced intelligence in the industry. By leveraging grid-forming technologies and artificial intelligence, Huawei aims to enhance renewable energy adoption and contribute to safer mobility through full electrification.
Huawei has already supported more than 4.3 million homeowners globally. The company aims to streamline the installer journey from faster installations to reliable support, providing dedicated services to manage technical complexities. LUTERRA™ S2, the industry's first all-in-one Full-SiC system, was the highlight of the event. It promises maximum efficiency and ease of use, featuring fully wireless communications, a single SKU to reduce logistics and inventory management costs, installation times under 10 minutes, a usable capacity that exceeds by 10%, and a total energy output over its life cycle that is 43% higher than conventional solutions.
The summit also featured Huawei FusionSolar's inaugural global installation competition, where 48 teams from 36 countries showcased their efficiency with the LUTERRA S2. Notably, a Spanish team completed their installation in an astonishing time of just 2 minutes and 32 seconds, earning widespread recognition for their swift installation capabilities.
Participants shared their successful experiences, with a French installer illustrating a shift from a traditional resale model to a subscription-based platform that connects homeowners, installers, banks, and power grid operators. Additionally, teams from Thailand discussed integrating photovoltaic systems with energy storage systems (ESS), charging solutions, and green finance tools, transitioning from single product sales to creating smart home ecosystems.
A Mexican installer shared best practices for tackling the industry's energy challenges by adhering to regulatory requirements and fostering collaboration among diverse stakeholders. A Brazilian installer demonstrated confidence in the reliability of Huawei solutions by installing the first Huawei BESS system in their region before offering it to clients.
More than just an industry gathering, the summit acted as a strategic meeting point for installers worldwide, allowing them to align on a unified vision and collectively shape a path towards sustainable development. Looking ahead, Huawei is committed to collaborating with installers, driving technological innovation, and jointly advancing the ecosystem to accelerate global green transition.
The LUTERRA S2 system is set to launch in Europe in November and in the Asia-Pacific region in December, with further updates to come.
