Celebrating Women of Worth: A Call for Nominations
As we approach the International Women’s Day on March 8, L'Oréal Paris is excited to announce the 20th anniversary of its philanthropic initiative,
Women of Worth. This celebrated program honors women leaders in their communities who are making significant changes through their nonprofit organizations. From now until the nomination deadline, individuals are encouraged to submit names of deserving women who embody the spirit of this initiative.
The Impact of Women of Worth
Over the past two decades, Women of Worth has recognized 190 outstanding women across the United States, facilitating their missions through financial support and mentorship. Each year, ten honorees receive a
$25,000 grant to further their nonprofit efforts, owed to L'Oréal Paris's commitment to amplifying women's voices and their causes.
When asked about this milestone, Laura Branik, President of L'Oréal Paris USA, expressed pride in the program's journey:
“We are incredibly proud of the 190 women supported by this program, who are driving change for the most pressing issues in our country. We look forward to celebrating ten more incredible transformative women in 2025.”
Nomination Process and Collaboration
From now until March 8, any individual can nominate a remarkable female leader through
WomenofWorth.com. L'Oréal Paris has partnered with
Points of Light, a globally recognized nonprofit advocating for volunteerism, to select the honorees each year. These selected women not only receive the financial grant but also gain access to a powerful network designed to enhance their initiatives.
Celebrating Legacy and Recognizing Excellence
The 2025 class of Women of Worth will join an esteemed alumni network comprising over 190 female changemakers. Each year, a special award, the
Karen T. Fondu Impact Award, is given to an alumna demonstrating exceptional commitment to her cause since being celebrated as a Women of Worth honoree. This year, the award is given to Dr. Ni'Cola Mitchell, founder of
Girls Who Brunch Tour, for her impactful work in empowering at-risk girls. Her initiatives have positively affected over 48,000 women and girls across 28 cities!
A Celebratory Year
This anniversary is not just significant for the honorees, but also for L'Oréal Paris Ambassador,
Eva Longoria, who is celebrating her 20th year with the brand. She states,
“It’s been incredibly inspiring to witness the evolution of this program and how it has empowered women over the past two decades.”
