Panasonic Pavilion's Nomo Land: A Stage for Children's Creativity
Panasonic and Miraii are kicking off an exciting initiative aimed at elementary school students across Japan. Starting from July 25, 2025, children in grades 2 to 5 are invited to submit their imaginative light art projects for the Panasonic Group Pavilion, named "Nomo Land", at the Osaka-Kansai Expo 2025.
Project Overview
The theme, "Nomo to, Hikari to, Monogatari" (Nomo, Light, and Stories), encourages budding creators to express their unique narratives through light. Selected works will illuminate the pavilion during nighttime events, showcasing the children’s creative flair as it sends a hopeful message into the future for all attendees.
The goal of this project is to connect children's vibrant imaginations with the overall theme of the Expo, which centers around "Designing a Future Society where Life Shines Brightly". Importantly, it aims to cultivate the self-confidence of the young participants as they express their artistic vision. By navigating the creation of their art pieces, children will unlock their potential and explore the beauty of light.

Experience in Nomo Land
The Nomo Land pavilion stands as a testament to Panasonic's long-standing research into "human understanding", there by creating a stimulating environment that fosters children's creativity. It will feature a remarkable 70-meter-long facade adorned with flowing organza, bringing the magical experience to life through sound and light.
Furthermore, the pavilion integrates ILLUMME, a cutting-edge IoT lighting system developed by Panasonic Electric Works. This technology allows creators to manipulate light freely by employing visual programming techniques, aiming to cultivate a new cultural appreciation for light among Generation Alpha (children born post-2010).
A Platform for All Children
This initiative also collaborates with the New Media Development Association and support schools nationwide, aiming to create expressive opportunities for children requiring special assistance. As noted by a representative from Panasonic HD, working with children fosters new values in light and creates opportunities for parents to engage more deeply with their children's creativity.
Future Aspirations
Through this program, we hope to bridge the gap between children's artistic expressions and broader societal connections, bringing optimism and inspiration to many. Additionally, by deepening partnerships with educational institutions and local communities, we aim to create diverse platforms where all children can express themselves artistically and together build a vibrant culture of light artistry.
