Job Responsibilities: The hired individual will assist in various administrative tasks related to the activities conducted by the Bureau of Elementary and Secondary Education. Duties will include data compilation, document preparation, file organization, and responding to telephone inquiries.

Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must possess at least a high school diploma or an equivalent educational qualification. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is a must. Those currently enrolled in academic programs are not eligible for this position unless they are attending evening or correspondence courses that do not impede their educational responsibilities.
Additionally, applicants disqualified under Article 38 of the National Public Service Act will not be eligible, and those with certain legal impairments may also be restricted from applying.
Work Conditions
1.
Working Hours: Staff will work up to
29 hours per week, with scheduled hours set from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM from Monday to Thursday, and 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM on Fridays. A one-hour break is provided from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM.
Note that overtime may occasionally be required based on operational needs.

Work Days: The position is slated for Monday to Friday, except on public holidays and during the year-end and New Year’s period (December 29 to January 3).

Work Location: The workplace will be at MEXT’s headquarters located at 3-2-2 Kasumigaseki, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo.

Leave Policy: Employees will be entitled to annual paid leave after six months of employment.

Compensation: Salary varies based on educational background and years of relevant experience. Hourly pay ranges from 1,311 JPY to 1,675 JPY. Enhanced compensation considerations apply for those with substantial prior administrative experience, with potential rates reaching 1,643 JPY.
Additional benefits include commuting allowances and overtime payments, as well as potential stipends for remote work under certain conditions. Bonuses are provided twice annually in June and December, contingent upon eligibility criteria being met.

Regulatory Compliance: Employees will adhere to applicable regulations outlined in the National Public Service Act, with certain exemptions.
7.
Miscellaneous: Successful employees will be enrolled in health insurance, pension plan, and unemployment insurance programs, consistent with the prerequisites of their employment status.
