Chery Unveils TIGGO7 and TIGGO8 SUVs, Revolutionizing Family Mobility in Europe

Chery Makes Its European Debut with TIGGO7 and TIGGO8

On June 30, 2025, Chery Automobile held a significant brand and product launch event in Poland, marking its official entry into the European automotive market. This launch not only showcases Chery's expansion strategy but also introduces two of its globally popular SUV models: the TIGGO7 and the TIGGO8. Both models are equipped with internal combustion engines as well as plug-in hybrid electric vehicle (PHEV) technology.

Zhang Shengshan, Vice President of Chery Automobile, highlighted that the company has led China’s auto exports for 22 consecutive years, reaching more than 16 million customers across over 120 countries and regions. Chery's extensive investment of over 100 billion yuan and its robust infrastructure, including eight international R&D centers and over 13,000 engineers, position it firmly for success in the premium vehicle market.

Chery’s approach in Europe is encapsulated in its strategy, "In Europe, for Europe," which emphasizes understanding local consumer needs while delivering mobility solutions that reflect its brand values of ecology, technology, family, and community.

Exciting Features of the TIGGO Series

The TIGGO7 and TIGGO8 are not just ordinary SUVs; they are designed with safety, flexibility, and cutting-edge technology in mind. Both models boast a five-star global safety rating, thanks to their robust cage-like bodies and advanced ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) that cover five key driving scenarios. The TIGGO8 features a flexible “5+2” seating configuration, expanding cargo space up to 1,930 liters. Its compact counterpart, the TIGGO7, offers adaptable storage ranging from 500 to 1,305 liters, making them ideal for varying family needs.

A standout feature of these models is the Chery Super Hybrid (CSH) technology, which integrates a high-efficiency hybrid engine with a thermal efficiency of 46.5%. The advanced DHT hybrid system achieves an impressive fuel consumption rate of less than 4.5 liters per 100 km in battery discharge mode. With a hybrid maximum power output of 280 kW and a motor speed reaching 24,000 RPM, drivers can expect unparalleled performance in all driving conditions.

Additionally, Chery's Guardian battery safety system sets a new industry standard by providing instantaneous power cut-off within two milliseconds, working efficiently across temperature ranges from -35°C to 60°C, and featuring an IP68 durability rating for water and dust resistance.

Expansion Plans for Chery in Europe

Chery's entry into the Polish market is just the beginning of its European ambitions, with plans for expansion into Greece, the Czech Republic, Romania, and Hungary. The TIGGO7 and TIGGO8 are currently undergoing rigorous Euro NCAP safety tests, with expectations to achieve top-tier safety ratings that will enhance their premium positioning and accelerate Chery’s momentum across European markets.

In conclusion, with the introduction of the TIGGO7 and TIGGO8 SUVs in Poland, Chery is set to redefine family mobility in Europe. The combination of innovative technology, robust safety features, and a commitment to understanding local needs positions Chery as a key player in the competitive European automotive landscape.
