Chery's Commitment to Family Safety Highlighted in TIGGO7 Crash Test Results

On October 22, 2026, Chery Automobile Co., Ltd. hosted an event at the Longshan Crash Laboratory in Wuhu, known as the "Brand Safety Challenge." The event was themed "Guardian. For family," and aimed to demonstrate Chery's unwavering commitment to vehicle safety, particularly for family-oriented consumers.

During this event, the TIGGO7 was subjected to a rigorous crash test against a truck at a speed of 50 km/h. The results were impressive, showcasing the vehicle's ability to protect its occupants through its robust frame and advanced safety systems. This live demonstration captured the attention of global media, automotive experts, and families alike, emphasizing how vital safety is in vehicle manufacturing.

Liang Yugen, Chery’s head of automotive division, delivered an opening speech where he stated that safety should be a fundamental requirement rather than an optional feature for vehicles entering global markets. He proudly noted that the TIGGO7 has achieved a five-star safety rating from prominent assessment programs including C-NCAP (China), Euro NCAP (Europe), ANCAP (Australia), and ASEAN NCAP (Southeast Asia). These accomplishments reflect Chery’s market-oriented approach and its dedication to providing reliable vehicles worldwide.

The event featured a captivating family-oriented presentation followed by a travel film that set the scene for the crash test, illustrating how vehicle safety pertains to everyday life. As the countdown ended, the TIGGO7 underwent the crash test, and the results were broadcast live, allowing attendees to witness the vehicle’s performance firsthand.

Safety expert Li Jun stepped into the testing zone post-crash to explain the results. He highlighted that at the moment of impact, the vehicle's eCall system automatically activated, enabling emergency assistance. Notably, the A-pillars, B-pillars, and doors of the vehicle remained intact without significant intrusion into the passenger compartment. This demonstrated the effectiveness of the active and passive safety measures, which worked harmoniously to protect the crash test dummies involved.

Further insights came during the Guardian Club meeting, where Chery vehicle owners shared their personal stories about how the sturdy design of their cars helped them survive accidents, or how active safety features had successfully avoided potential collisions. A poignant closing remark encapsulated the spirit of the gathering: "Thanks to Chery, these families returned home safely, even on their worst days. It was not just luck, but true capability. This is Guardian. For family.”

At the 2026 Chery International User Summit, the brand further underscored its commitment to safety while also introducing cutting-edge robotics and smart technologies aimed at enhancing family life. Living up to its motto "For family," Chery vowed to continue enforcing stringent testing standards and implementing advanced safety technologies, ensuring families remain protected on all their journeys.

Chery's ongoing focus on safety reflects a genuine commitment to making a difference in the lives of families, solidifying its role as a reliable and trustworthy automobile manufacturer. As the automotive landscape continues to evolve, companies like Chery pave the way by prioritizing the needs and safety of their customers.
