Urban Parenting Community Service 'ReRePO' Launches One-Day Events in Ebisu Garden Place

ReRePO: Enhancing Urban Parenting Experience

In the heart of Tokyo, the innovative community service known as ReRePO is poised to create waves among urban families. Set to host two significant one-day events on November 21 and December 6 at Ebisu Garden Place, this gathering offers a platform for parents to exchange children's items, fostering a sense of community and sustainability. Organized by Sapporo Real Estate Development Co., Ltd., the event is part of a broader initiative aimed at implementing a community-centered, circular lifestyle in urban settings.

What is ReRePO?

ReRePO stands for a unique community service that targets child-rearing households in urban areas, providing a space for families to easily give and receive essential children's items. Its primary mission is to alleviate various challenges faced by parenting households while also revitalizing local community networks and embedding circular economy practices within the city. With a growing membership of around 200 families, ReRePO is quickly becoming a vital resource for families navigating urban life.

The community service operates not only by promoting the exchange of physical items but also encourages the sharing of valuable information digitally through a dedicated app. This innovative approach aligns with the evolving needs of modern families and integrates fun and learning through themed workshops at the events, such as education and food education activities that inspire both parents and children alike.

Future Developments

Having successfully executed three large-scale events previously, ReRePO is transitioning towards regular monthly events starting in January 2026. This shift aims to create more opportunities for urban families to engage and communicate while exploring various community initiatives. Moreover, from November 14th to 16th, ReRePO will also be conducting events at the Sapporo Factory located in Sapporo, Hokkaido, showcasing its potential for nationwide reaching.

Recognizing the evolving landscape of urban parenting, ReRePO aims to continuously enhance its service based on user feedback. Future improvements will include establishing permanent drop-off points for children's items beyond event days, expanding digital platforms for member management, and ensuring seamless experiences through the smartphone app.

By developing the app further, ReRePO plans to provide exclusive content and additional community interaction functionalities, making access to information easier while enhancing the overall user experience and engagement levels.

Finally, these events are not only about exchanging items but also about redefining urban parenting through collaborative efforts with local entities and organizations, and creating new opportunities for growth within the urban community.
