Dr. Iwatou has been at the forefront of integrating computational tools in medicine since 1989, having utilized Mathematica software early in his career. After joining the Nephrology section at Tokyo Medical University in 2002, he developed a Cox Regression coding methodology and predictive models for laparoscopic donor nephrectomy. Since starting his journey in AI and machine learning in 2018, Dr. Iwatou has not only enhanced his expertise but has also advocated for AI education, establishing study groups and speaking at numerous conferences.
