On June 25th, Schneider Electric revealed the Global Winners of its 3rd Sustainability Impact Award in Paris, France. This award recognizes seven global partners, customers, and suppliers for their exemplary efforts in achieving decarbonization. Each winner was honored for their commitment to sustainability, showcasing their leadership in the market.
The Sustainability Impact Award underscores the vital role played by Schneider Electric's partner ecosystem in creating a more sustainable and electrified future. This year’s list of awardees highlights the extensive collaborative network necessary for advancing sustainability initiatives. Companies submitted entries based on strategies aligned with building Electricity 4.0, emphasizing the need for further electrification and digitalization in executing effective decarbonization strategies.

1. GetWorks Co., Ltd. (Japan)
GetWorks has transformed data center sustainability by utilizing natural resources like snow and water for cooling while also leveraging renewable energy sources like solar and biomass. As a result of its innovative approach, GetWorks has achieved 100% renewable energy usage, which translates into a reduction of up to 176 MW in annual energy consumption per facility. The company further enhances its efficiency by employing Schneider Electric's InRow water-cooled air conditioning units.
2. Magnom Properties (Egypt)
Magnon Properties is redefining the future of sustainable architecture with a bold vision of leading on a global scale. To combat climate change and carbon reduction challenges, the company has designed the $1 billion Forbes International Tower, which operates off the grid with cutting-edge energy-efficient designs integrated with solar energy and hydrogen power. This forward-thinking skyscraper establishes a new benchmark for climate-conscious real estate. Schneider Electric supports the project with its advanced EcoStruxure™ solutions and intelligent building software to create smarter, more sustainable, and efficient building environments.
3. Capgemini Technology Services (India)
Capgemini achieved remarkable results by reducing its overall energy consumption by 50% and successfully transitioning to 100% renewable power for its operations, becoming the first IT firm in India to do so. The company’s Energy Command Center, powered by Schneider Electric’s EcoStruxure platform, has played a crucial role in optimizing energy management, leading to a 29% reduction in energy consumption.
4. Toyota Argentina S.A. (Argentina)
Through a comprehensive CO2 emission reduction program, Toyota Argentina has advanced sustainability by decreasing CO2 emissions by 57% from 2019 to 2023. The company has also sourced 83 GWh of energy annually from wind and solar power, relying solely on renewable energy. At the factory level, Toyota Argentina employs 220 Schneider Electric power meters to monitor energy consumption and enhance its energy management functions.
5. Equinix, Inc. (USA)
Equinix received accolades for supplying 100% renewable energy to clients at 250 of its 260 data centers, achieving a remarkable 96% renewable energy adoption rate worldwide. The company also contributes to the development of 1.2 GW of new renewable energy through power purchase agreements and a $51 million investment aimed at improving energy efficiency by 2024. Equinix utilizes Schneider Electric products for power quality monitoring to track energy consumption using the EcoStruxure Resource Advisor.
6. Tricolite Electrical Industries Limited (India)
Tricolite has reduced its carbon emission intensity in operations by 51% from 2019 to 2023, leveraging smart technology and sustainable upgrades. The company optimizes energy usage through Schneider’s EcoStruxure Power Monitoring Expert (PME) and enhances energy efficiency with installations like high-volume low-speed (HVLS) fans and 100% LED lighting throughout its facilities while solar panels supply 48% of its energy needs.
7. Knorr-Bremse AG (Germany)
Knorr-Bremse aims for net-zero emissions across all scopes by 2050, with interim targets to cut scope 1 and 2 emissions by 75% from 2018 levels and reduce scope 3 emissions by 25% from 2021 levels. The company implements rigorous energy efficiency programs and promotes the transition from fossil fuels to renewable energy, sourcing 99% of its electricity from renewables. Knorr-Bremse is one of the top achievers in Schneider Electric's zero-carbon project.
