On August 12, 2023, the Ministry of Justice disclosed the benchmark scores for the 2026 Judicial Scrivener Exam, marking a notable increase in comparison to the previous year. The scores are critical for candidates hoping to succeed in this challenging qualification.

The announcement included specific scores for the morning and afternoon sections of the exam. The benchmark for the morning session is set at 84 points out of 105, while the afternoon session has a benchmark of 75 points out of 105. For reference, last year's benchmark was 78 points in the morning and 72 points in the afternoon. This year’s rise indicates a more competitive landscape for aspiring judicial scriveners.

Online Consultation Event


In response to the announcement, TAC is hosting an Online Consultation Event tonight at 19:00 (JST).
