Empowering High School Students with DX and AI Career Education in Fukuoka

Event Report: Fukuoka Prefectural Kyoto High School's Career Education Event

On November 11, 2025, Arsaga Partners, a leading company in promoting digital transformation (DX), hosted an engaging event at Fukuoka Prefectural Kyoto High School. Seven students attended as part of an initiative aimed at providing practical career education focusing on the future driven by DX and AI.

The day featured insightful presentations from the company’s Executive Vice President and other executives, who discussed the essence of DX, the utilization of generative AI, and the intricacies of shaping future careers. The event served as a platform for active discussions between industry professionals and the students, allowing the latter to explore necessary skills for the AI-driven era and gain deeper insights into their interests and strengths.

Speaker Introduction

After a notable career at Kinki Nippon Tourist and Yahoo Japan, Toru took on executive roles within Google and leading travel innovative projects. In 2021, he joined Arsaga Partners and became the Executive Vice President in 2023.

Toru Yoshitomi, Executive Officer and Fukuoka Branch Manager

Session 1: The Future Driven by DX and Generative AI

In the first session, the theme was centered around learning about DX and generative AI. Matsuto and Yoshitomi highlighted the importance of digital technologies that students encounter daily.

They defined DX not just as digitization but as a fundamental transformation that encompasses business models, corporate culture, and organizational structure. Examples included the shift from physical cinemas and stores to streaming services and the evolution of shopping from traditional methods to online orders with AI-driven next-day deliveries. These examples illustrated how DX enhances not only convenience but also redefines overall experiences.

Next, the speakers introduced generative AI’s capabilities, emphasizing its potential for both streamlining processes and generating new ideas. However, they also warned about issues such as age restrictions, privacy concerns, and misinformation risks. In education, there’s a growing tendency to employ 'education-specific generative AI services', which mitigate these risks.

Among these innovations was the education-focused generative AI service 'AI+Me', designed to foster critical thinking among students based on feedback from educators. This service is poised for a rollout across all elementary and middle schools in Chiyoda Ward from this fall.

In a rapidly evolving digital landscape, there’s a clear need for individuals to harness technology not simply as tools but to create new values. This session inspired students to develop such skills, connecting these insights to their future career paths.

Session 2: Essential Skills for Thriving in the Era of Generative AI

Matsuto shared key learnings for high school students, focusing on crucial skills needed to thrive in today’s tech-centric world. He illustrated three important skills:
1. Information discernment skills: In an age flooded with information via social media and AI, trusting and verifying what's true is critical.
2. Critical thinking: It’s important to analyze answers critically and view issues from various perspectives.
3. Communication skills: Clearly conveying good ideas and information effectively is essential for collaboration.

He also provided three guiding principles for career choices:
1. Choose what excites you: Opt for paths that you find enjoyable.
2. Be proactive: Don’t fear failure; take action!
3. Commit fully to your decisions: Follow through on your commitments with resolve.

Matsuto urged students to explore their curiosities, promoting inquiries into deepening knowledge and their roles. This approach, he argued, will help them carve fulfilling career paths in the future.

Q&A Session: Interest in Technology and Safety

During the Q&A segment, students posed queries regarding Arsaga’s projects, the technological aspects of web services, and practical digital security advice for their daily lives.
Q1: What types of developments does Arsaga Partners undertake?
Matsuto: We engage in extensive development aimed at businesses, ranging from large-scale systems to new web services. As an example, we’ve created applications for karaoke enthusiasts that can be operated from smartphones and remote-controlled crane games! Our recent focus also includes generative AI service support.

Q2: How can we identify safe websites?
Yoshitomi: Always verify if a URL begins with HTTPS. Websites without it could be risky. Check if trustworthy companies run the service by looking for company information at the bottom of the site. Be cautious of phishing scams; they often present URLs that seem almost correct. Always double-check before submitting any information and consult trusted individuals in case of suspicious warnings.

Conclusion

This event provided valuable insights into the realities of DX and generative AI for the participating high school students. They learned to reassess their strengths, developed critical thinking capabilities, and understood how to communicate effectively.

The Q&A segment was also an enriching experience, offering practical strategies for digital security and insights into web service development. Through initiatives like these, Arsaga Partners is committed to nurturing capable future leaders who can generate value in our evolving digital society. We hope this engagement encourages each student to reflect on their career paths and learning directions effectively.
