Celebrating Art and Taste: Limited Edition Beer for Artists Launch

Beer For Artist: A Unique Collaboration for Art Lovers

In a delightful celebration of art and culinary creativity, The Chain Museum has officially announced the launch of the limited-edition craft beer named "Beer For Artist (BFA)". This initiative marks the second anniversary of their innovative gallery and dining space, "Art ka Bifun ka Paichu", located in Roppongi, Tokyo.

This unique beverage is crafted in collaboration with Yamanashi Prefecture's own brewery, 万珍醸造 (Manchin Brewery), and will be available for purchase starting April 29, 2025. This limited run presents an exciting opportunity, allowing visitors to not only savor a bottle themselves but also to gift one to their favorite artist. The initiative of sharing beer with artists aligns seamlessly with the gallery's ethos of connecting art enthusiasts with creators through uniquely curated experiences.

A New Way to Connect with Artists

Since its inception, "Art ka Bifun ka Paichu" has pioneered ways for patrons to engage with art and the people behind it. The venue introduced a whiskey bottle keeping system known as "BFA (Bottle For Artist)" that facilitates interaction between art fans and artists. The new beer project extends this vision, offering patrons a creative way to support and connect with their favorite performers. Upon purchasing the BFA beer, customers can personalize the label by writing a name or message in the "FROM" section, which can be left at the venue for artists to enjoy. This flexibility allows supporters to either send their gift to a specific artist or to all participating artists by simply marking "ALL" on the label.

Taste Profile of Beer For Artist

The "Beer For Artist (BFA)" is not only a thoughtful gift but also a delightful beverage to enjoy. This golden ale boasts citrus-like acidity and subtle hints of cherry blossom flavors, thanks to the ecological farming practices involving Yamanashi's pesticide-free 福原オレンジ (Fukuhara orange). This unique variety, discovered in Japan, offers a balanced taste, reminiscent of summer citrus with both tartness and a mild sweetness. With an ABV of 5.5% and an IBU of 14, this beer combines flavorful complexity and smooth drinkability, perfect for any beer enthusiast. Available at an accessible price of 1600 yen (tax included) for a set of two bottles, it makes for a perfect celebratory drink.

A Toast Instead of Flowers

In lieu of traditional celebratory flower arrangements, patrons are invited to consider BFA beer as an alternative gift. Due to spatial constraints, the venue kindly requests abstaining from floral gifts and instead encourages the purchase of the original beer in sets of six (available upon request). For inquiries, customers can contact the gallery directly.

About Art ka Bifun ka Paichu

Nestled within a repurposed building set for redevelopment, "Art ka Bifun ka Paichu" offers a blend of Taiwanese gastronomy and contemporary art. The gallery curates various art projects monthly, allowing visitors to engage, dine, and appreciate artwork within a welcoming space. The term "Paichu" reflects a fusion of admiration for the white cube concept in art spaces alongside the warmth and comfort associated with kitchens.
