FOTON Launches Comprehensive Product Range at IAA Hannover Amidst Carbon Neutrality Push
FOTON Unveils Product Range at IAA Transportation 2026
At the IAA Transportation 2026 event in Hanover, FOTON is set to impress with an extensive exhibition space of over 1,000 square meters under the theme “EASY MOVE”. This significant showcase aligns with the global shift towards decarbonization, positioning Europe as a vital testing ground for new energy commercial vehicles. The company is not only focusing on exporting individual products but is also offering comprehensive solutions tailored to local markets, encapsulating product offerings, technology, supply chain, and after-sales services.
A Diverse Lineup of Vehicles and Components
FOTON’s exhibition features seven fully-equipped vehicles and six key components that have been developed in-house, aimed at addressing crucial transport scenarios across Europe. These scenarios range from long-distance logistics to urban waste collection and passenger public transportation. This year’s featured products include various models of new energy vehicles (NEV), high-performance batteries, electric axles, electronic control systems, and powerful charging stations, exemplifying FOTON’s commitment to independent research and development across the entire supply chain.
European Certifications and Service Enhancements
FOTON's NEV products are gaining traction across different European nations, thanks to certifications such as WVTA and VECTO. To enhance its local after-sales service efficiency, the company has officially launched a regional distribution center for spare parts in Unna, Germany. Supported by 32 overseas factories, more than 1,200 sales outlets, and over 1,500 service points, FOTON has established a closed-loop service system that covers vehicle delivery, parts supply, and maintenance. Between January and August 2026, FOTON reported an impressive 149,000 units in export volume, reflecting a substantial 44.3% increase compared to the previous year.
Strategic Announcements and Innovations
On September 14, coinciding with the Media Day, FOTON will make three significant strategic announcements. Firstly, it will introduce a new strategy targeting the European market, focusing on renewing its NEV lineup and customizing business activities to meet local demands. This strategy is part of FOTON's commitment to transitioning towards a low-carbon economy for commercial vehicles in Europe while providing transport solutions that span the entire lifecycle.
Secondly, FOTON will celebrate a notable milestone with the delivery of its 13 millionth vehicle globally, which will initially debut in Spain, marking a key moment in FOTON's globalization journey. Lastly, the launch of the CAVAN BEACON, a versatile heavy-duty truck fueled by electricity and hydrogen designed for journeys exceeding 300 kilometers, will be accompanied by seven new electric vehicles and six internally developed components (including three electric motors and a megawatt charging system). This highlights FOTON's technological independence and commitment to zero-carbon logistical solutions from China.
Engaging the Global Community
From September 15 to 20, the exhibition will be open to dealers, customers, and media from around the world, bringing together various industry stakeholders. FOTON’s partners, including ZF, CATL, and EVE Energy, are also expected to present their collaborative strengths within the supply chain. This participation not only marks a fresh chapter for FOTON in Europe but also serves as a testament to the excellence of Chinese smart manufacturing on the international stage.
With this comprehensive lineup and strategic foresight, FOTON is keen on establishing a strong footprint in the European market while contributing to the ongoing global efforts toward a sustainable, low-carbon future.
