On October 8, 2026, Fortune revealed its highly anticipated ranking of the Fortune 100 Best Companies To Work For™ Europe. This annual list serves as a beacon, illuminating the continent's most exceptional employers known for fostering strong workplace cultures and employee satisfaction.

Highlights of the 2026 List


The top spot this year goes to Hilton Worldwide Holdings, dethroning last year's leader, DHL Group. The list showcases a blend of public and private companies, with around half being privately held, and interestingly, six of the 100 companies are headed by women.

The Fortune 100 rankings span 25 countries, with over a third being the European arms of large U.S. corporations. Reflecting the current job market dynamics, the sectoral breakdown shows technology companies leading the charge with 26 entries, followed by healthcare with 17, and financial services with 15 representatives.

Among the most exciting aspects of this year’s list is the arrival of several newcomers, with a remarkable number of companies—approximately one-third—making their first appearance. Six newcomers burst into the top 25, including Alshaya Group, Groupe Sii, Kiabi, Chiesi Farmaceutici, Takeda Pharmaceutical, and Verisure.

Significant Climbers


In a particularly remarkable turn, TD Synnex made the biggest leap in the rankings, jumping 62 spots to secure the number 32 position. Other notable climbers included Pluxee (+49 to No. 50), Volkswagen Financial Services (+43 to No. 47), Trek Bicycle (+39 to No. 26), and Reitan (+34 to No. 61).
