InfiMotion Technology's Public Debut: Advancing E-Drive Systems in Wuxi

InfiMotion Technology’s Public Debut

On July 16, 2026, InfiMotion Technology had its much-anticipated public unveiling in Wuxi, China. The event highlighted the company's extensive expertise in intelligent e-drive systems, marking its emergence as a formidable player in the global automotive supply industry. During this presentation, CEO Joe Lin emphasized the firm commitment of InfiMotion to revolutionize electric vehicle technology and provide solutions to automotive manufacturers worldwide.

Global Collaboration and Technological Prowess

InfiMotion operates a dynamic global research and development network that extends beyond Wuxi to major cities like Shanghai, Ningbo, Hangzhou, and even Göteborg, Sweden. This network comprises over 1,000 engineers, featuring a dedicated team in Sweden, all collaborating in real-time via cloud technology. The scalability of InfiMotion's R&D reflects its commitment to addressing extreme operational conditions found across various geographic locations. From high-load scenarios on European highways to cold starts in Nordic regions and high-performance runs in South Asia’s tropical climates, the company’s engineering processes are constantly tested under rigorous conditions, embodying its core value of global adaptability.

Industry Innovations and Milestones

InfiMotion’s technological advancements have been marked by several industry-first achievements. The company made headlines in 2021 with the development of China’s first 400V SiC EDU for the ZEEKR 001 vehicle. The following years saw the introduction of the first domain-controlled EDU featuring an 11-in-1 technology on a 400V IGBT platform, achieving an impressive CLTC-efficiency rate of over 90%. In 2025, InfiMotion revealed the world’s first mass-produced EDU boasting dual motors made from a magnesium-aluminum alloy, coupled with a coaxial high-performance EDU capable of handling 900V—all while maintaining a net weight of just 77 kg, generating an extraordinary peak torque of 5,200 Nm. The company has pioneering efforts in Umini-pin winding, ultra-thin silicon steel laminates, and three-stage PCM technologies, aiming to set industrial standards for innovative materials.

Stringent Testing and Quality Assurance

Adhering to rigorous quality standards, InfiMotion has achieved ASPICE Level 3 compliance and holds ASIL-D certification (ISO 26262). Its validation system encompasses a wide range of tests under extreme conditions. These include thermal cycle tests ranging from -60 °C to 140 °C, salt spray tests exceeding 1,500 hours, and extensive endurance tests surpassing 2,500 hours, where performances need to be validated with over 9,000 individual checkpoints for European luxury automotive brands.

The company’s CNAS-accredited testing facility is renowned for its innovative motor testing bench that can reach up to 30,000 RPM, ensuring the utmost reliability and performance of its products.

Precision Manufacturing for Global Distribution

With five intelligent manufacturing locations across China—Wuxi, Hangzhou, Ningbo, Quzhou, and Jiaxing—InfiMotion achieves an automation rate of 95% in motor production. The company maintains an SMT accuracy of ±25 μm, utilizing measurement tools that provide precision down to 0.1 μm. Their AI-driven visual inspection systems can detect faults as small as 20 μm, ensuring that every component meets the highest manufacturing and quality standards.

E-Drive Solutions for a New Era

InfiMotion’s e-drive systems now span a voltage range of 400V to 900V, capable of supporting various vehicle classes, from compact models to supercars. With a global presence across China, Europe, and Malaysia, the company's vertical integration allows it to provide not just component supplies but complete solutions. In the first half of 2026 alone, InfiMotion ranked among the top three suppliers in China for motor and inverter deliveries, with its mass production already supplying esteemed brands like Geely, Volvo, and JLR.

Looking Ahead: The Future of InfiMotion

As the global NEV sector undergoes transformative shifts, InfiMotion Technology is poised for a bright future. Committed to advancing full-stack in-house R&D and fostering global synergies through partnerships, InfiMotion is dedicated to delivering proven, traceable, and commercially viable Chinese e-drive solutions to a broader audience.
