The event gathered over 500 partners from more than 70 countries, emphasizing the company’s commitment to intelligent, low-carbon mobility and its significance in the global automotive landscape.
During the conference, ChangAn announced plans for substantial global investments exceeding $10 billion, with the goal of achieving worldwide sales of 5 million vehicles by 2030. This goal reflects ChangAn’s aspiration to rank among the top ten automotive brands worldwide.
Strong Sales Growth and Market Expansion
Chairman Zhu Huarong highlighted the company's impressive progress over the past five years in new energy and global market entry. In 2024 alone, global sales surged by 34.2% to 2.684 million vehicles, including 735,000 units powered by new energy, and 536,000 sold internationally. Zhu emphasized the need to strengthen global competitiveness through a dual strategy of long-term commitment and localized operations.
Moreover, ChangAn has set its sights on five key overseas markets for the next five years, aiming to enhance localized production, branding, and customer service.
Leading Role in International Exports
In terms of exports, ChangAn's vehicles ranked among the top three Chinese automotive exports in 2024. Executive Vice President Li Mingcai highlighted pivotal milestones, including the establishment of its first international new energy vehicle manufacturing base in Thailand and the formation of eight overseas partnerships, leading to a production capacity of 580,000 units.
With over 500,000 vehicles sold internationally and revenues exceeding $11 billion, ChangAn expanded its presence to 100 countries and currently operates 1,150 sales channels.
The models CHANG-AN, DEEPAL, and AVATR have garnered international accolades, leading to ChangAn's inclusion in the "BrandZ Top 50 Chinese Global Brands" just 14 months after launching the Vast Ocean Plan. Li credited the company’s robust export growth amidst global headwinds as a testament to the strength of intelligent Chinese manufacturing.
Innovative Strategies for the Future
As part of its dual plan for 2025, ChangAn will launch 20 new models internationally, structured around both fossil fuel and new energy vehicles. The focus for fossil-fueled vehicles will be on markets in Central and South America, the Middle East, and Eurasia, while new energy vehicles will be aimed at the Asia-Pacific region and Europe.
To unify its brand globally, ChangAn employs the “1+N” strategy, which emphasizes one global framework supplemented by localized branding campaigns throughout the year.
The upcoming global lineup will feature 20 new models, including the CS75PLUS, DEEPAL S05, AVATR 07, and CHANG-AN Q07, illustrating ChangAn's commitment to innovation.
