The much-anticipated fourth edition of the China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) concluded on June 26 in Beijing, drawing an impressive 676 exhibitors from 85 countries and regions. Under the theme "Connecting the World for a Shared Future."

Among the showcase were leading supply chain companies, innovative SMEs, and research institutions, underlining a diverse representation. Notably, international participants made up 36.5% of the total attendees, with Fortune 500 companies constituting a significant 65% of exhibitors.

The expo was notable for the participation of Australia as a guest country, alongside the French region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes and Italy's Liguria, together with the Chinese guest provinces Anhui and Hainan. This initiative encouraged cross-regional exchange and collaboration throughout the event.

The CISCE was unrivaled this year, marking its largest edition ever with more than 1,200 exhibitors and partners. Attendance figures soared, showing a total increase of 22% in onsite professional visitors compared to the last edition. Over 70 economic forums and two evening networking events were organized, with live streaming attracting more than 62 million views online.

In a groundbreaking move, the expo launched the "Digital and Intelligent CISCE" initiative, enhancing its previous Digital Technology Chain focus. A new section dedicated to artificial intelligence was introduced, highlighting the importance of digital innovations in the supply chain landscape. During this event, 161 new products, technologies, services, and applications celebrated their global or industry-specific debuts, promising to reshape the marketplace.

Additionally, the 2026 edition introduced a report aimed at promoting global supply chain resilience along with a new Global Supply Chain Resilience Index, offering insights into the robustness of international supply chains. In terms of business engagement, exhibitors connected with a staggering 43,000 partners from the upstream and downstream fields, outperforming last year's numbers.

On the final morning alone, 115 companies and institutions, both local and international, signed letters of intent for participation in the fifth CISCE, reflecting a 12.7% increase from the previous year. Among these, 20 firms committed to multi-year participation, inked contracts lasting three to five years, indicating a robust future outlook for the expo.

Media coverage also experienced a significant uptick; more than 2,300 Chinese and international journalists were accredited for the event, soaring 21.5% over 2025's attendance. This further illustrates the growing global interest in the CISCE and its pivotal role in fostering international trade and collaboration in the supply chain sector.

As the dust settles after this remarkable event, the CISCE has set the stage for an even more impactful fifth edition, anticipated to amplify global connections and cooperation within the supply chain industry.
