Levelwear Launches Exciting DRAFTED™ Program for U.S. Soccer Apparel Designers

Levelwear’s DRAFTED™: A New Wave for Soccer Fan Apparel

In a groundbreaking move to blend artistry with sports culture, Levelwear has officially launched DRAFTED™, a unique platform designed to celebrate creativity among U.S. Soccer fans and artists alike. The inaugural campaign, titled United by Design, aims to invite and encourage artists to submit their original designs, showcasing the passion and identity of U.S. Soccer fans.

What is DRAFTED™?

DRAFTED™ is more than just a design competition; it’s a comprehensive platform that integrates fan engagement with artistic expression. By opening the doors to artists nationwide, Levelwear aims to create apparel that resonates with the spirit of soccer fandom in America. This initiative not only allows artists to showcase their designs but also empowers fans to vote on their favorite submissions, creating a two-way interaction that celebrates community involvement.

According to Hester Ngo, the CEO of Levelwear, "DRAFTED™ gives artists a real place inside the culture of the game and gives fans a voice in what that culture looks like on the apparel they wear." This sentiment reflects the essence of the campaign, which is about inclusivity and authenticity.

The Campaign Details

Artists can participate by submitting one original design created solely by humans. The submission period is open from March 30, 2026, to April 15, 2026. Each artist is required to provide a 100-150 word inspiration statement along with their design. The selected finalists will be recognized as DRAFTED™ Artists, Class of 2026, and will receive a $500 cash award, ongoing royalties from apparel sales, and the honor of being featured on the DRAFTED™ platform. Ultimately, one design will be crowned the DRAFTED™ Top Pick, as decided by fan voting, which will run from May 15 through May 22, 2026.

A Voice for Artists

Among those backing this initiative is Rich Tu, who serves as the Founding Creative Ambassador for DRAFTED™. Tu, who holds a faculty position at the School of Visual Arts in New York City, emphasizes the importance of artist visibility within the expansive world of soccer. His involvement brings a level of credibility and a respected voice that reinforces the commitment to putting artists at the forefront of fan culture.

"United By Design brings together my two passions, design and soccer," shares Ashley Taylor, a participating artist and member of the American Outlaws, a prominent supporters' group of U.S. Soccer. Her excitement exemplifies the new opportunities that DRAFTED™ is creating, not only for artists but also for fans who crave meaningful connections with their apparel.

The Future of U.S. Soccer Apparel

The DRAFTED™ United by Design campaign is open to any U.S. resident who has reached the age of majority, and aims to promote original artistic work that resonates with the fan base. The goal is to connect soccer's rich culture with dynamic designs, offering fans apparel that reflects their devotion.

The final designs will be produced as officially licensed U.S. Soccer apparel, available on Levelwear.com, the U.S. Soccer Official Store, and at select U.S. Soccer National Team matches. This initiative represents a fresh chapter in fan engagement, making it clear that creators and supporters alike have a significant role in shaping the narrative of soccer in America.

As the world of sports and art converge through DRAFTED™, fans and artists alike are set to leave an indelible mark on the future of soccer apparel in the USA. With such innovative ideas taking shape, the soccer community can look forward to a vibrant and creative expression of their love for the game.
