CMRRA Reports Impressive Royalty Distribution for 2024 as It Prepares for Its Golden Jubilee in 2025

On March 18, 2025, the Canadian Musical Reproduction Rights Agency (CMRRA) made headlines with the announcement of their 2024 end-of-year results. In addition, CMRRA welcomed 360 new clients and added 172 more clients for international collections through SX Works.

One of the standout innovations CMRRA introduced this past year is the electronic Song Registration Form, which has proven beneficial to over 200 clients. This new format, alongside the traditional Common Works Registration (CWR) format, facilitated the processing of more than 44,000 musical work registrations.

Moreover, CMRRA strengthened partnerships across the industry, collaborating with organizations such as JUNOS, CCMA, and Women in Music Canada, alongside new alliances with Billboard Canada and the Songwriters Association of Canada.
